October Update: Building The Campfire

Hey everyone! I wanted to start doing monthly updates as we push forward on building out The Campfire studio. There’s a lot happening behind the scenes, so here’s a quick rundown of where we’re at.

Studio Progress

For those of you who’ve heard about the studio already, or if this is news to you—welcome! The plan is to open The Campfire proper sometime next year, likely in the latter half. Right now, we’re building momentum before I lock in a lease and go all-in on creating the ultimate space.

Lately, I’ve been looking at how to set up the dynamic back walls for the room—deciding between TVs and projectors has been tricky! I’ve also been figuring out which lighting and sound control units we can use now to improve our current games, while also setting the stage for the studio. On top of that, I’ve been chatting with some local set design and film production folks to help make this a reality. More on that as we move forward!

Drop-Ins

We’ve got 4 Campfire Stories in rotation right now, and it’s been a blast running these. I’m still focused on the studio and multiple Campfire Campaigns, but we’re continuing drop-ins at Good Game and Wolf and Hound. I’ve also started handing out physical scrolls that lead to The Campfire—it’s been a fun way to build some excitement!

Speaking of Good Game, we’re planning a fun drop-in at the end of October. It’ll be on a stage with some lights and sounds to set the mood, so stay tuned for details!

Upcoming Campaign – Almost Full!

The next big campaign is nearly full—three seats are already taken, with only two left! This campaign will be shaped by the group, and I’m excited to see where the story takes us. We’re planning to start in November, and dates will be set to accommodate everyone’s schedules. So if you’ve been on the fence, now’s the time to jump in!
